The user interface of the Video to Gif converter is not that appealing to the eye even after several glances. This is definitely an area where there is much needed improvement to be made. The good thing is that this is the only aspect of the software that is worth complaining about. All the other areas from performance to efficiency are without any flaws and should be greatly commended. Its great qualities overshadow it's below par appearance that will for starters fail to attract potential consumers. This appearance might also to some extent make it look complex to use even thought this is entirely not the case. The top part only shows the user the processes involved when using the Video to Gif converter. There is a 'browse video' button that allows users to select the various video in the system that they wish to select and convert to Gif. You can also adjust the overall height and width of the final output. You can also leave it at default if you aren't sure about the specifications. You should then click on the 'next' button to progress to the other step. You can also shut down and stop the process by clicking on the 'Quit' button.

Free! Pretty easy to figure out.

Like some people mentioned it tries to install a bunch of different software. When installing the first pop up window DONT HIT CONTINUE OR AGREE TO ANYTHING! HIT SKIP AND DECLINE EVERYTHING!!!! Other than that GIFs turn out small often so you have to play with the dimensions to make it bigger which doesn't always cooperate. When saving the gif its tedious going through your C drive and picking the place over and over again. If you make one gif then make another and save it to the same place it will overwrite it, so always change the name of the gif after your create it.

To avoid extra stupid software at setup: 1. Hit SKIP in the bottom left corner instead of accept & install (This would've changed your browser homepage and search engine) 2. Hit DECLINE in the bottom left corner (more crap they try to stick you with) 3. DECLINE AGAIN 4. DECLINE AGAIN 5. DECLINE AGAIN The only time you're safe from stupid programs is when it says, "Welcome to the Free Video to GIF Maker Setup Wizard" Other than what I stated in the cons there isn't much to worry about.

None - I still haven't used the software because I'm still trying to track down the other programs / toolbars this PoS program installed.
Cons
Installed a dozen or so no-name media players, toolbars, and search engines. Changed my browser settings. Still trying to track find all the things this software package tweaked - don't download it.

I can't really see any.

Unfriendly interface, doesn't allow you to use the entire video (only uses whole seconds, so if you have already used another program to trim a video to appropriate length and a fraction of a second is there, it does not see this as something to be used), Can't preview, have to choose your own dimensions (no presets), gif moves SO slowly once it's created - does not move at video rate, even if this is selected. You're better off using one of the web based gif creators that watermark the gif. don't waste your time here.
