It may not look like much, but this handy little program instantly converts U.S. standard measures to their metric equivalents and vice versa. Metric Converter's small, utilitarian interface is divided into Temperature, Distance, and Weight tabs. It can convert commonly used measurements such as Fahrenheit, feet, inches, and pounds. Just fill out the fields for any unit and hit Calculate. Results are instantly displayed. The program offers two modes, one for U.S. standard to metric and one for metric to U.S. standard. Metric Converter is a freeware program that anyone can use, and, though not particularly feature-rich, it works quickly and efficiently.

Fairly simple interface. <p>But not as clean as '1-2 Convert' on my PDA, which is what I was looking for to use on my PC.
Cons
On my computer, I got inconsistant results. Try converting 100 inches to centimeters for instance. Also, isn't MS Framework is a heavy requirement for a basic calculator?

You never get anything free!!! Have to do another download from MS--Site sends a lot of emails--after finished will put their email into Spam and they will be blocked forever!!!
