• Unlimited AVS4YOU Subscription!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Pros

  Was customer for over five years..............until I upgraded my computer.

  Cons

  This subscription obviously has total limitations. You make it sound as if I own the software, but I do not. This is a limited one computer, one install license which you are misrepresenting to those who purchase it. I will not purchase any avangate or avs product again, ever, and I will from now on tell everyone I encounter that you and your company are deceptive, lying, manipulators without a moral bone in your bodies.

  Summary

  Do not waste your money, and please let everyone else know that this company and its products are liars and hide their actually very limited software behind false promises.

• Licence issues

  Pros

  The program does what it says. Fairly simple to use. One nice feature is you can make 2 separate videos into one.

  Cons

  When you buy the product and licence (unlimited in my case), you can only install it once. I you get a new computer or reinstall your old one, it won't work anymore. When you turn to the company's (unpleasant) support, they just basically give you the finger and tell you to buy a new licence. It feels like I've thrown my money away at something I cannot use any more. Really bad practice. Thank god you can find cracked versions on the Net.

  Pros

  Work for basic video editing functions. However, now Windows allows you to do the same thing for free.

  Cons

  AVS doesn't allow you to transfer the purchased software to another computer (crash, lost of stolen computer = out of luck).

  Summary

  Don't buy this software. Now windows and other applications allow you to do video editing for free. I'm so disappointed and upset. I chose to support a company by paying for it and... this is how it ends.

• SERIOUS NON-FIXED AUDIO-VIDEO SYNC ISSUES

  Everything is good, pretty simple, not for professional editing but gets the job done.

  Cons

  HAS SERIOUS AUDIO-SYNC PROBLEM WHEN USING WITH AVS VIDEO EDITOR. IF YOU EDIT A VIDEO ON AVS VIDEO EDITOR, THEN HARDCODE THE VIDEO WITH A .SRT SUBTITLE, THE RESULTING VIDEO WILL 100% HAVE AUDIO-SYNC PROBLEMS.

  Terrible deception by AVS4YOU!

  Cons

  BEWARE of AVS4YOU! If you buy the software, you cannot move the license to another computer! If you format and reinstall your OS, then AVS4YOU don't care. They rip off people and rudely tell you to buy a new license! Even if your computer is stolen, AVS4YOU will not care and will NOT reset the license activation key. They will tell you to buy a new license.

  Summary

  This software is cheating and tricking ordinary people! BEWARE!

• Don't Get This Software!

  It's an all right software as long as your computer lives...but

  Cons

  I purchased a lifetime membership and what they don't tell you is the lifetime membership isn't attached to the purchaser, but the computer you load it on. Once you change computers, you have to purchase another license.

  Summary

  The lifetime isn't your lifetime, but your computer's.

  It was the only convertor worth paying for a few years back.

  Cons

  Free converters are every bit as functional but for some crazy marketing reason they still believe you should pay them a yearly lease for the privilege of using the software.

  Summary

  Just read the cons... it is not worth a purchase even if you could. Be careful.. you only own it for a year or something like that. Very "not worth it"

  Straight forward and does what the maker says it does.

  Cons

  A bit slow...it's has been almost impossible to find a fast converter program. A 2 hour film seems to take 2 hours to convert...1:1 (second:second) ratio is not a good point.

• Glitches Stopped First Project Never Worked

  Pros

  I tried the free trial and it seemed user-friendly with plenty of options and features.

  Cons

  Among other things, the first video I tried to make was almost complete when the preview pane stopped playing my video. I tried everything to resolve it, tried three times over 24 hours to contact tech support (no response), and finally went to a user forum to find pages of people who were having this problem. The response from tech was the same over and over: uninstall and reinstall. EVERYONE responded that that did not work. Have still not heard back from them. So I bought it and it "broke" before I made one project!
