  Summary

  It just creates a copy and appends [fixed] to the file name. A hex file comparison found no difference between original and "fixed" files. I ran tests on several files and it was unable to fix any of them.

  Failed on first attempt to open a file for fixing.

  Failed completely. Could not open a file for fixing. Gave the message "access denied" and then hung. I tried several times on several files and with only media fixer running after rebooting my machine. I am running Windows XP with all current updates.

  None, given uselessness at a common simple task and on top of that reporting incorrectly that it had succeeded in a repair, no reporting of nature of errors or repairs, and taking really really long to get to this nowhere

  Failed after reporting that it had "FIXED" a .avi movie file whose only error was the common one of having its index corrupted, which most media players can fix on the fly for viewing, but do not save, hence trying this repair program

  Summary

  After taking 4 hours to process a 1-1/3 hr avi, All Media Fixer saved me a new file whose name included [Fixed] appended in front. However, playing it in VLC Media Player, which will play almost anything, caused immediate error message that the index was still corrupted. To be sure, I ran both the original and All Media Fixer "[Fixed]" files through a file comparison program which showed they were identical in content using hash checksum, so no change was actually made by All Media Fixer at all.   from looking at the feedback, the maker has obviously padded their feedback on a non functional product. They just want money. Who posts reviews with a weblink for discount on PURCHASING product.

  a company tho has to resort to underhanded tactics cannot be trusted. Look at how many people posted reviews that the product does nothing. To post a positive review on cnet all you need is an email account. like gmail, hotmail, yahoo which are all free email accounts. And the "trial version" only fixes media files? define media files - one site gives Definition of Media File : A Media File refers to any image, audio or video file on a computer. So the trial works on all video and image and audio files? According to many feedback it does not. If someone is lying from the moment they met you, they will continue to do so until you walk away from them. In my opinion, the publisher made a shell product with no function, to take advantage of people who may be desperate to retrieve a corrupted cherished file. The product price was probably chosen as in the range people will not fight too much for product refund. Besides, it can be argued that data recovery is not 100 percent. It can also be argued that a scammer is always a scammer. In my data recovery experiance, I have recovered 95% of all data.

  Program does not work for any type of files period. I started out trying to repair some audio files on an ipod, and got a "UNREGISTERED VERSION ONLY REPAIRS MEDIA FILES". Then when trying to fix a media file, STILL THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE.

  Summary

  They should seriously review this download and pull it from the database OR give some in-depth instructions on how to make this program work, since nothing I or others seem to have done works.

  TRIED FIXING A JPG + MPG. IT TELLS YOU THAT IT IS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED, BUT IT IS NOT. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

  I can't speak for other formats, but did not work with .AVI .

  Summary

  Tried to use the program to fix an .avi. It immediately told me the unregistered version only fixes media files. What? A .avi is not a media file??? Then it goes to a screen that appears like it is doing something, but gives a progress bar error. This doesn't encourage me to buy this software.
