  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />What a pain it is to launch Photoshop Elements just to do some quick surgery on a photo. Foto Trimmer is <b><i>exactly</b></i> what I've been looking for...something that will let me trim, resize, and JPEG-ize any photo for insertion into e-mail. The ability to add "frames" is a nice touch, and the app is loaded with flexibility in the options it provides for manipulating the image. <p> The company's marketing stance is...er, <i>tastefully</i> profit-driven, which I actually find refreshing. I don't mind paying for software that works well, saves me time, and is backed by responsive, intelligent support.<p> I also appreciate their web site's humorous nuances. This app is a class act designed by some classy folks who don't take themselves too seriously, which from my perspective is an important element in the interactive part of the user experience for any product. Foto Trimmer gets my unreserved recommendation.<p><p> p.s. Normally, I'd have forked over the shareware fee in a heartbeat, but the company gives me <b>two</b> shots during the 30-day trial period at winning a free eternal license...cool! If I don't win, I'll gladly buy the license.
