This application finds files with the CHK file extension and reverts them to their original extension, but it performed poorly in our tests. Most users probably won't have any problem in figuring Flobo CHK Identifier's neat, straightforward interface. Scandisk creates CHK files from orphan file chains it finds. This application attempts to discover the original extension for each CHK file. You can browse by directory of drive to discover CHK files. Discovered files are listed where you have the option of deleting them. However, it often crashed when scanning our test drives. The demo doesn't offer the renaming feature, but limits you to deleting found corrupted files. With the many crashes we encountered and our inability to test CHK Identifier's renaming function, we can't recommend it for any level user.

I say it's not so bad
denisse_laraFebruary 24, 2011
Pros
I used this program, I said whyt not to try and recovered what I needed at that time. I say it's good, design is not important to me if is helpful.
Cons
maybe in future an improving of design ( more comercial)
Summary
This Demo version is absolutely worthless. And ugly.

Pros
The application installs and runs. I guess that counts as a good thing.
Cons
This demo version doesn't let you do anything at all. It does not recognize and rename your .CHK files - that is, unless you "buy unrestricted version", it claims. It suffers from ugly design (and I mean UGLY!) and bad usability (and I mean BAD!).
Summary
On basis of this demo version, nothing can be said about the usefulness of the full version. The demo is not promising, however. It demonstrates absolutely nothing - except that the creator has awful taste in design and no feeling for usability. On the sole basis of this demo version of Flobo CHK identifier 1.5, I would NEVER buy it.
only gave it a one, cuz i couldn't give it zero.junk, junk, junk
