Automates the detection and removal of the widespread Flashback Mac OS X malware.

Free tool that automates the detection and removal of the widespread Flashback Mac OS X malware. The tools creates a log file (RemoveFlashback.log) on current user's Desktop. If any infections are found, they are quarantined into an encrypted ZIP file (flashback_quarantine.zip) to the current user's Home folder. The ZIP is encrypted with the password 'infected'.

The scan was done well before I cleared the screen after hitting the "Agree" button!!

None. Absolutely N-O-N-E!!!
Summary
Just because you can't SEE a little clock (or similar) ticking along while a piece of software performs a scan doesn't mean it's process is: any less thorough, any less valid, any less meaningful, or any less correct. Ignore any assessments that suggest otherwise. Download now, and breathe a little easier for having done so.

Pros
Works silently in the background, gives lightening fast results. Easy to use.
Cons
None, although there could be a module made that shows the active process as it does it work.
Summary
Perhaps too easy to use. End users want the comfort of 'seeing' their systems being scanned. Okay, we know it's psychology but its a real demand. That said, we're happy we were virus free.

The Cons area explains why for my Mac there were no Pros.
Cons
Could not use the Flashback Removal Tool for Mac. Due to not being able to install after downloading because I have an iMac running Mac OS X with PowerPC, Version 10.5.8
Summary
Not usable as explained above in the Cons: Please advise how I solve this problem and find if I have Flashback condition on my Version of Mac.
