This tool scans for rootkits, backdoors and local exploits by running tests like MD5 hash compare, look for default files used by rootkits, wrong file permissions for binaries, look for suspected strings in LKM and KLD modules, look for hidden files, and optional scan within plaintext and binary files.

Useless...

Pros
Cute mini-interface.
Cons
Doesn't work. All it does is open Terminal, then gives you, "rootkit hunter needs to be started with administrator privileges, please authenticate first." You then type in your administrator password... and nothing else happens.
Summary
Absolutely useless. But if you hate bad spelling and missing punctuation, you would have trashed it before testing it, so the non-functionality wouldn't bother you.
