Catalog your movie collection with Filmotech, a database-driven program that lets you add art and other information from the Internet for any movie on your list.

The first time you open Filmotech, you'll be asked to create a database. A wizard helpfully walks you through the few short steps. You'll then be prompted to add your first movie, and we have to say we were impressed with how quickly it found movie art, descriptions, and actors when we opted to Add and Search the Internet. You can bypass the search, but we liked the extra information, especially the links to view the trailers when available. You can also indicate whether or not you've seen the movie and if you've loaned it out. Movies are then listed on the left with details displayed on the right. There's little attempt to dress up the database, but the controls are easy to follow and the program is intuitive to use.

If you're a movie buff, this is a streamlined way to track your collection. It isn't flashy, but it works well and it won't cost you a dime.

Good but with problems

Pros
Good program, easy to use once you get the hang of it. I really liked it.
Cons
Failed 4 times just stopped working after a few weeks, would not open program when clicked on. I uninstalled and reinstalled 4 seperate times (because I liked the program). But, am now looking for another one to use.

Nice easy format. Pulls info from Internet automatically

unable to change databases, IMDB is what I refer to when doing research on DVD's. The Phone Ap needs work.

looks a good interface and you can get lots of information from the net to auto populate

I can not import files from my hard drive, it checks all teh boxes but then i get an error to say its stopped working... this is a shame really

Pros
The best free software for cataloging DVD movies. It is so simple to use. I love the fact that it does a call on the internet to import data about the movie. So much typing I don't have to do. I can't thank you enough for this great program!

I have found nothing negative at all. This program is great!
