FilExile is a handy and simple application specially designed to help you delete and remove stubborn directories and files. The application was designed to help you remove the files that cannot be removed by other means either because the path is too long, the name is invalid, or any of other errors that can be incurred upon file or directory deletion.
Is actually able to delete folders with recursively recurring folder names with no problem! Windows 7 couldn't do it because the file path name was too long, which is really lame. I tried multiple BATCH file scripts or command line commands, ROBOCOPY, etc., to delete, rename, shorten names, etc. etc. and spent HOURS with no success, UNTIL I USED FilExile!!! It did the job quickly, but most importantly actually was able to DO THE JOB! :)
Cons
Hopefully no spyware or malware, but I didn't see any..

Pros
I had an unwanted folder I couldn't delete because it contained 2 files with names too long, and I was going insane trying to find something to get rid of it. I'm not into dealing with command prompt so I looked for software. Some you have to pay for and a couple of free ones did nothing. Then I found FilExile. It's free, it's quick and easy to install, and it's quick and easy to use. Just browse for the target folder and when you've found it, click on delete. My troublesome files were gone at last. All praise to the makers of this splendid tool!
Cons
The only con I can think of is it took me a bit of searching to find something as good as this.

Again I had a file with a very long name, something in OneNote 2007 that had duplicated itself several times, each time repeating its original name, which Windoze wouldn't allow me to delete, move or rename, and I was tearing my hair out to find a way of dealing with it..
When I remembered I had FilExile tucked away in my program files, I opened it up and added the cursed file. In one click it was gone! After all the effort I had gone to previously! I couldn't believe it was that easy, I kept checking my system in case the file was still lurking about somewhere, but it really was deleted.
