  Doesn't sync subfolders. I have 4000 subfolders within 12 main folders. I set the 12 main to sync, but subfolders don't get included, and there's no way to include them. Also, the log file tells me that it sync'd files, but when I check the files on the mirror location, they are still an older version. What a joke. *uninstall*

  Pros

  1. Backup software should include synchronization. 2. Not even Acronis includes this option. I know it is slightly different, but seeing it includes general backup's it should contain file synchronization.

  it can be used for general file backups, and synchronization. very good solution. some might say it is not an all in one solution. true, but it only does what your software is not currently offering you.

  Just want to mirror my raid to another PC, this one is perfect This one also works with Chinese file name which is great Simple and nice interface

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I tried another program that kept reminding me that I used it too much. This works well, is easy to configure, and does exactly what it's supposed to - syncs between my computer and my USB card. Unlike some programs you can setup more than one copy scenario, then select as many as you want to run. Others I have worked with allow you to create several copies, but I could only run one at a time. The only issue I have with it is that the text in the status bar is too light to read, if another version is created I'd suggest a darker text.

  1. Very easy to use 2. Very fast 3. Excellent log file 4. Low CPU usage; small file. 5. Does not need to run in the background 6. Very clean appearance. 7. If my HD fails, the mirror files will be OK. 8. Schedule is possible. 9. It's FREE.

  Should provide a way of syncronizing files in a virtual hard drive over the internet using another service or even creating one.

  Summary

  It's very easy to use. Very fast: syncronized the files that already where in the destination folder before installing the software (I used to do it manually, copying all files every time I had to do a backup), without copying the files that have not been modified. The main use is to keep your files in two (or more) hard drives/memory cards/pen drives that if your computer is stolen or your HD fails, you have an updated copy of your files. As I have a notebook that can be stolen anytime, I used to be afraid of losing my data, so I decided to keep a backup folder in my home's server computer, wich is now very easy to maintain updated, since the software copies only the modified files to the destination folder, and even deletes (or no, if you select) the deleted files. Keep the pictures you are editing (this takes time) in a safe place until you order the printed copies or until you finish editing all pictures before burning them in a CD/DVD. Try it if you want a mirror folder in another computer of your network or just backup your files in a pen drive (without compressing them).

• Free, fast, easy and a great support

  Pros

  It is small. It is very straightforward to use. It runs fast (about 6 minutes to update over 100 GB of backed up data). It is absolutely free (they even refused a donation). The support is great (reactivity, bug fixing, new features on demand).

  Cons

  No Mac version so far (but I think it's on the way). It won't brew coffee.

  Summary

  I needed a freeware to make daily mirror backups of my data on an external HDD. I tried out FileMyster 1.0.8 and after a test, I noticed that it only added new files but didn't delete the files deleted from the source. I contacted the support and they told me that if I needed that feature, they could add it... and they did it within a week! Then I beta-testedd the new version and after a few communications and intermediate releases, they released version 1.1.5 that is perfect for my needs. I strongly recommand the software and support team!
