• Never figured out how to transfer my books from PC

  Seems to display books OK. Lots of features for finding epub books from on-line libraries.

  Cons

  I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to transfer books that I already had from my PC to FBreader. It should be as simple as putting the files into the Google Cloud directory that the app creates when you enable sync, but that doesn't work. I tried the PC version in hopes that opening books there would somehow sync them to the Android app, but no luck. There doesn't even seem to be a way to browse to my Cloud drive to open books & add them to the library manually.

  Summary

  Uninstalled. Moving on to try other apps till I find one that works the way I want it to.

  Installer has no opt-out for the A/V tool AND a browser search add-on, closing the window will install them anyway. Configured the path to my hard disk EBook folder. After closing app and reopening, it created IT'S OWN FOLDER in C:\EBOOKS. Program immediately crashed upon opening epub file. Uninstaller only deletes it's executable, leaving behind all other associated files/folders and shortcuts to make life more unbearable.

  Summary

  This must have been a pre-school project for the pimply-faced developer. AVOID!

  Pros

  Click the gear and a world of easy customability opens - fonts, colors, margins, etc. Formatting shows more of what's in the epub than the more popular ereaders. You can customize keystrokes to make the Spacebar cause PageDown.

  Cons

  All that great formatting is not transferred when you Select and Ctrl-C - too bad, but won't matter to most users. It would be nice to have a two-page view. No way to highlight or annotate text.

  Summary

  Set up so that when you click an epub in Windows Explorer, it opens in FBReader.

  also opens epub, lit, + lfr formats, it loads quickly, remembers where you left off in each book you've opened + doesn't use a lot of system resources (unlike some other programs)

• Good E-Book Reader

  Pros

  It's clean and has decent speed loading, reads many formats, easy to use.

  Cons

  I haven't experienced any thing other than good from using this software. I've tried other readers too, and so far FBReader is tops.

  Summary

  I like the looks, it's not a cheap looking software, I believe care has gone into its development. I also like the fact that it loads quickly and doesn't use a lot of resources. All in all I highly recommend this software.

  . Reads everything except .lit. Even reads compressed folders without unpacking.

  Cons

  Does not read .lit. Linux vr. had trouble with index.Hope this one doesn't.

  Summary

  Wow, my N800 just died and all similar devices cost as much as a net book or small laptop. So I got a 13" laptop and was hoping I could find a program similar to this, but find"IT" wow
