Used Fast File Splitter for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Fast File Splitter quickly converts large files into multiple small files, but oddly, it won't create a destination directory. The straightforward tabbed interface presents three choices: Split, Join, and Options. Splitting a file means answering a few questions. You specify the destination directory, provide a file size or the number of files to be generated, and choose among the three splitting options. You can create a self-extracting file, encrypt the files, or compress the split files. The program is aptly named. It quickly split the files according to our specified file size or number of files.
File merging was even simpler and faster. Select the source and destination folder and press Join. The Options tab allows you to specify a task to run after the split or merging process, input the Disk Transfer Rate, and adjust the process priority level. Our only real disappointment with this application is that it wouldn't create destination folders. The short 10-day demo limitation was a bother, but most users will quickly decide if this utility fits a need. We believe anyone looking to split large files for easy e-mailing or CD backup will appreciate this reliable tool.
