Effective only for the files saved in the old XLSformat

Connects to the developer's server to remove passwords, hence the removal is pretty quick Easy-to-use interface

Does NOT support Excel 2007+ files locked with the open-file password Cannot recover any passwords to open; removal is the only option if your file type is supported
Summary
As mentioned above, this program uploads protected documents to the remote servers and fulfills password removal in the cloud. This approach is pretty effective, however, the list of the file formats the software can unlock is pretty limited and dated. The newly established online services (Password-find.com and so on) that also instantly unlock files in the cloud, support Excel 2013 files and can recover the "open" passwords remotely currently seem to be far superior to this outdated tool.

1. Sporadic Recognition of Excel Files 2. Outrageously Overpriced 3. Non-Intuitive Graphical User Interface (GUI) 4. Requires an OS Install 5. Rixler's Support is a Joke 6. Trial only allows the removal of a password that is equal to "test".
Summary
Rixler needs a reality check. Individuals rarely have a need for password recovery software and when they do need them, there are a plethora of free open source alternatives. To make matters worse, the open source programs are frequently better designed and more reliable.
