Excalibur was originally designed to work as a spelling checker for LaTeX documents, but it can be used to spell-check any text document, including text in the clipboard. Dictionaries can be customized for personal needs, and foreign dictionaries are available.
IFirfox may have better virus protection than IE, but I don't see it. It does look noce though, and I like the idea of add-ons. Some are really good and useful.
Cons
This browser is crashing hourly. It is sloooooow to load pages and will argue with me when I wish to go to another website. I have to constantly use the Stop amd re;pad buttpns to keep the pages straight.
Summary
The crashes and extreme problems caused by slow loading, are driving me nuts. I use the computer for business, and I've lost money because of the browser crashing. I seemed to do much better with the last verson in the 2 series.
3.xx slow as dial up!
Pros
Honestly have not directly seen much in the visual end of improvements from 2.xx to 3.xx
Cons
VERY slow on opening non tabbed windows! Have been a fan of Firefox for many years but this latest release makes me desire to move on to a different browser. Many complaints on this slow loading or not loading pages at all issue...
Summary
Great all around browser that exceeds IE and pretty much any other browser with function and add-on software's.
Mozilla does have some issues it needs to address such as above mentioned issue instead of trivial issues that it corrected in this last 3.0.4 release but still failed to even mention the slow and or non loading pages.
The king of browsers has royal robe resewn!

Pros
Firefox 3.0.4 is essentially a bug fix version with no new exciting features added. It's nice to see the folks at Mozilla stay current on the security issues, especially those with critical or high vulnerabilities.
Cons
At this time I don't see any cons with this new version, but as this release is brand spanking new testing has been extremely limited.
Summary
Version 3.0.4 sports 121 bug fixes with nine of them being security issues. Four are considered critical vulnerabilities and two more are high. Quite a number of the bug fixes address very small or trivial issues, but several have been linked to Firefox crashes. This I'm glad to see this as it seems to me there were an inordinately higher than usual number of CNET.download reviewers of Firefox 3.0.3 who reported stability issues with the browser. I suppose I can't be all that surprised considering the magnitude of the 3.0 release and the fact it's been only 5 months since Firefox 3.0 was released. Let's face it, it takes time to work out all the wrinkles. In my opinion people who expect software like this to work perfectly "out of the box" are not being realistic or fair. Today there is great pressure on Mozilla to release early as competition from Opera, Safari, IE, and now Google stiffens. I hate to say this because the problem will only get worse. The next major update of Firefox (3.1) will be released in the next few months, and Mozilla, by their own admission, will include a number of features they wanted to include in the 3.0 release. Why? ..... pressure to release early! When that kind of thing happens you get software that is not fully tested and is often not as stable as desired on release.
While I am a big fan of the Firefox browser I too have experienced some instability issues in version 3.0.3, in fact, so much so that I had to completely uninstall and then reinstall it on my computer. Fortunately since that time my browser has been running very smoothly with no signs of any problems. What was the cause? I don't know, but I hope one of the 121 bug fixes in Firefox 3.0.4 addresses the issue so the problem doesn't return.
It is not "a browser"....It is "The Browser"!

Pros
Everything....
1) Extensions-no where in the world you will find extensions for a browser more than those available for firefox
2) Speed, Compatibility, security and flexibility
3) It is Open source, so more scope for improvement
No more space here!
Cons
No Incognito mode(as in google chrome...but it's coming soon to firefox); A bit slow to start, maybe because of the number of extensions i use, but never mind...I won't mind waiting a few more seconds for this marvellous piece of software to start!
Summary
The bottom-line is that, it is better and more deserving rival to internet explorer. IE is used so much because it comes bundled with the most used operating system! As plain as that! Don't go away seeing the browser on your first install. You must checkout the addons page for extending the browser. There, you will find useful addons like adblock plus, all in one sidebar, many beautiful themes(skins) etc. So don't wait just download the 7 MB file, install it and see the difference. You won't regret installing it! In fact, it maybe the best download you have ever made!!!
