• Nag screen every 60 seconds!

  Pros

  Decent straightforward little program that's easy to use. Attractive design.

  Cons

  It shouldn't claim 'no limitations' when it costs $15 ( ?9,99 Euro) to get rid of the annoying popup that appears every minute right on top of the keyboard, no matter where you move it. It might be worth paying for if the program wasn't so easily overwhelmed. If the MIDI arrangement is very complex or is not a rigidly quantized piece, various notes will turn up missing and you'll get error messages. It can probably be remedied with a simple adjustment somewhere but I got tired of the constant interruptions from the nag screen. I actually kinda liked the program; I wish my first impression had been better.

  The program wouldn't recognize my midi files, so obviously I was unable to give this software a test run. Additionally, after each attempt the irritating pop-up trial version box kept displaying and I'd have to wait for the 5 second countdown. <p> <p>What good is a Trial Version if one can't get it to work properly?

  Pros

  This is a really great idea. You can break songs down and learn them, even if you're a poor sight reader.

  Cons

  It would be really nice if it somehow told you what fingerings to use. Also, I wish I could use it again, I keep getting a runtime error 57 message (it might be my computer though).

  Pros

  You don't need any experience with music. <p>The program guides you to learn to play music, by showing you the keys on the keyboard. I find it great that I can now load my midifiles and see how they are played. Also great to watch the keys change. Great soft for the amateur musician. It's amazing how fast I learned to play melodies that seemed complicated at first sight.

  Cons

  The navigation thru the song could be better.

  -It's easy to step thru a midi file and see the keys you have to play/study <p>-You don't need any music knowledge <p>-You don't need to read music notes <p>-It's simple and selfexplaining <p>-You can load any midi file and select any track of that file <p>-You can set markers to repeat from a certain point in the file <p>-You can select whatever instrument you want with your track <p>-There is a single note mode and a chord mode <p>-You can also listen to the whole track <p>-You can connect a midi-keyboard and see your input visually on the keyboard

  Cons

  -If your midi file is not quantized, you don't have good results. So it's best not to work with live recorded midi files. <p>-Sometimes chord mode doesn't work as expected, but I suppose that is normal and due to the midi file I used

  Pros

  I like the look, it's very professional. It plays the midis beautifully, the sound is exact as the midi. A various amounts of equipment is selectable... But wait... The cons of this game is... VVV-Look closly-VVV

  Cons

  The equipment that is selected is the only thing that plays, when you change the guitar or whatever the various equipment ALLOWS you to play (Which in my opinion sucks) The beginning of Helena starts off wonderfully. And you'd be lucky to find a midi that would play wonderfully. I'm not sure this would be fantastic thing to download if your not into waisting time, however it did teach me a thing or two. Choose my pianos wisely!
