  Summary

  If all you want is the text, this program will get most of it. Although the document I recovered was missing several pages (???). It did not recover any formatting, tables, graphics, etc... Not really what I needed.

  Pros

  It worked! It is very reasonably priced, though more expensive than was given here - US$ 27 for single user license.

  Cons

  The option of saving to Word format didn't do anything, but it saved as a text file and totally recovered the file I bought it for.

  Summary

  It worked, but I only tried it on one file. It is far, far cheaper than other options I found. Very simple interface - locate the file, click the button, what is recovered is displayed, opt to save and give a file name (though the Word format option didn't work for me, only .txt).
