  Pros

  None that I know of.

  Cons

  When downloaded this program I got two others as well that I did not want or ask for. One was just to download 1000 other programs. I do not appreciate when I ask for one thing and I get garbage along with it. How can I trust Backer when it gets delivered along with garbage???

  Pros

  Easy to learn. Clear results Preview. Works with portable devices. Very flexible right-click options on files. Fast. Logical UI and options dialogs. Can be run from USB drive. Complete filters.

  Cons

  Can sync only 1 drive at a time, BUT sync scripts can be batched by Backer. Tech support is sometimes slow, but has always been helpful.

  Summary

  I have been using Backer for years, upgrading as time passes. I get fast reliable syncing. I use Backer about 20 times a day to sync to an SFTP server via EldoS Net Drive. The only feature that does not currently work for me when I right-click in Preview is Delete server file. This is the first bug that I have found in years. At the end of the day, I simply delete all unwanted files from the server. Otherwise, Backer has synced a variety of sources and destinations for me for years. I use it daily to sync two remote computers. The batch feature enables me to group sync tasks so that I need issue but one command to trigger several syncs. That way, if I am working on, say, three related projects that I'd normally sync individually, I can sync them all by running one Backer batch job. I like the clean, uncluttered UI and preview panel. Managing scripts, templates, and reuse of optional settings is very convenient.
