EMOS claims to protect your computer by concealing your IP address, but the mysteriousness of its inner workings leaves us hesitant to trust it. EMOS displays a small interface that displays messages about securing ports, closing connections, and enabling protection. But it omits a help file and doesn't include a built-in tester to substantiate its claims, as do other applications that require remote PC verification. We can't verify the claims nor guarantee the effectiveness of this free software.

Pros
It scans a computer, then secures ports, closes connections, enables protection and repeats these steps again and again. I needed more half-open connections than the default setting of 10 with Windows XP. I've installed a patch to up that to 50 half-open connections and a hacker is going to use these to penetrate my Zone Alarm Firewall. My theory is this software is made to allow IP packets to be sent to trusted sites and one negative reviewer tested this program though a trusted site. I have NO trusted sites in my Internet Explorer >Tools >Security >Trusted sites list. I tested EMOS using my website and it works just fine.

None. Didn't appear to do anything at all. Sorry no pros.

Appears to have absolutely no funcionality all. Did NOT hide, nor remove ip address at all. Tested it on 3 different pc's, with one on a different network other than my own. Hardly any interface, except 'hide' (to tray) & 'exit'. Very little info on the program itself even on the homepage.
