eManga is a free application. It works as both a manga-viewer and a library organizer all-in-one. And there's the Mangacast system to allow you get get Manga releases in lighting-speed. The eManga reader lets you read your manga right from your library. OpenGL acceleration uses your graphics card for rapid page viewing and allows you to instantly zoom or fit the page to your screen. You define your own custom keyboard and mouse controls. The overhead display gives your information about the chapter you're viewing, and can be turned on and off with the click of your mouse. eManga introduces a new concept to the world of manga: the Mangacast. Mangacasts are feeds of manga chapter releases.

Pros
Well, when it was actually working and working right, I could read zip and rar files without having to extract them. Plus, I used to be able to bookmark pages and go back to them without starting the whole manga over again, but that stopped working after a while.
Cons
First bookmarking stopped working. Now it seems I can't use the browser option to find and load any manga at all, making this program useless.
Summary
This program's features seem to have disabled themselves and no longer work - for me, at least. I hope you have better luck than me.
Useless unless you have Hours of free time to organize

Has the potential to be a good idea.
Cons
Adding manga requires a LOT of tedius work, so much so that even for someone like me, who enjoys organizing things, would never dare to use this software.
Summary
I subscribed to cnet just to review this. I thought this would be a great program for me, having a very large manga collection on my pc. I was beyond disapointed. Heres what you have to do if you want to properly tag your collection. For every single volume you have to 1. Unarchive the volume. 2. Open the files in the emanga publisher, where now you have to do all of the work that i expected to be done for me. Which is as follows, 1. Drag and drop the cover art for the volume. 2. Drag and drop each individual chapter cover page. 3. Drag and drop the actual pages of the manga. After you organize it inside emanga you have to then create the .manga file that the software uses, it does not read any picture files or archives....thats right, a manga viewer that doesnt read picture files. After creating the .manga file you then have to add it to your library. That might not seem like that much effort, but put it this way, I have about 20 series that I keep archived on my computer, I only keep my absolute favorites, but if I kept everything that I've read, which seems to be the point of this program, that'd be roughly 40 series. I would say that a typical series runs 15-25 volumes, many much longer, (I have hajime no ippo archived, thats 85 volumes and growing), Now, to do all that work for EVERY volume is just ludacris, I would spend as much time organizing my manga as I do actually reading Now heres something else, all my files are in this file type completely useless to anyone else, you cant just take a .manga file and see the contents on a different image viewer, so you can't share anything with anyone. And if you ever saw a page that made you laugh, or thought was incredibly epic, you cant just save it to show to someone else. Okay, say you do all this work, what do you gain from it? You get your manga organized similarly to itunes (exactly actually, it looks like a cheaply made itunes knock off) Alphabetically by title, author, or all these other categories that are pointless. Oh great, a list of volumes of manga, thats almost like....no wait....thats EXACTLY what I had before I wasted days and days setting up this library, the only difference is now i've got a small thumbnail of the manga volume in the corner before i open it...and whats the first thing you see anyway? An actual sized version of the volume cover. Oh it tells me the genre of the manga? and i can organize it by that? Well, I had that before, its called, uh, idk FOLDERS. Oh it tells me the chapter of the title! What a useless feature, I don't know anyone who reads manga who has ever referred to a manga chapter by the title, in all the forums, all the conversations, no one has EVER said that, why? cause no one fucking cares about a sentence of broken english that doesn't even really have anything to do with the contents of the chapter. So lets sum things up here, its a cool concept, iTunes for manga, but think about that for a second longer and you realize that thats not even really that great an idea to begin with. My 20 series each have their own folder, and it fits neatly on one screen, when deciding what I want to read, i just have to look at that one screen, If I used this program i would have to scroll through pages and pages of volumes to see everything. Manga isn't like music, having the entire contents of every album in a bands discography listed is useful, you can pick out individual songs at a glance. Having the entire contents of a manga series is stupid, if you want to read a manga in your collection looking at the name should be more than enough. This program is a complete failure, I was so disapointed that i've wasted the last 15 minute reviewing it. But it would be worth it so long as NO ONE EVER DOWNLOADS THIS AGAIN, THERE IS LITERALLY NO POINT TO DOWNLOADING THIS SOFTWARE, UNLESS YOU WAN'T TO WASTE HOURS OF YOUR TIME AND BE WORSE OFF FOR IT IN THE END STAY AWAY!!!
