eMailer for Windows

E-mail clients use the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) to send messages to mail servers, which use SMTP to talk to each other. Babu's eMailer is an easy-to-use SMTP e-mail client that works with your preferred email program. It lets you send email to any recipient over any network directly from your computer. It supports password and user name logons for outbound connections, Send/Error acknowledgement, and remote and local server connections. It can even retrieve e-mail addresses from various sources, including text files, SQL databases, and Microsoft Outlook.

A Windows-style installer simplifies eMailer's setup, and a Wizard-based user interface walks you through each step, making it easy to send text, HTML, images and media files, XML files, and more. SMTP clients have a variety of uses, such as sending email when you can't access your ISP's servers. Certainly it's possible to spam with them, but that kind of Internet protocol isn't covered by eMailer's brief. It just sends the email; how you use it is another matter. For travelers and others who need to send email using unfamiliar networks, eMailer can make it easier to stay in touch.

The fully functional trial version is free to use for 30 days. It downloads as a zip file and installs desktop icons without asking. It works in all versions of Windows from 95 to 7, including server editions. The software's requirements include Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5 or higher and Office 2003, and the download includes an Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies tool.
