Set and display a timer on your desktop.

What is there to say, it's a simple digital timer, on the egg timer principle, counting down from a maximum of 100 hours, showing hours, minutes and seconds. Options are provided to change the colour of the display, and to force Egg Timer to remain on top of all other applications.

Egg Timer can also be minimized, shutdown Windows when the time has expired, play a user defined WAV file or display a user defined message. Due to popular demand, Eggtimer now supports command line parameters, which include the ability to start the countdown immediately, and preset the required time period. For full command line details, refer to the readme file present in the zip file. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Simple. Specify the audio file you wish to have it play ( IE: your 2do list ), set a period of time and Voila ! ... be reminded.

only bad thing so far is who has wave files handy? would be nice if it used mp3s, but thats not a big deal. Thanks Again!
Summary
I am an insomniac, and I don't want to wake up the whole house if I decide to cook at 4 am. (like today). Its Christmas eve, I woke at 3, and I want to bake. Took me an hour to find this but well worth the time. Lets you decide what sound to play, or just display a message which was important to me.

Exactly what I am looking for. Freeware. Small, runs from an .exe with no installer, and has an "always on top" option. It can even notify you visually instead of audio via a text notification box. Great little app.

This is such a simple program, but I use it daily now. It's about 2 1/2" X 3/4", and can be set in Options to: <p>1. stay on top <p>2. play a wav file <p> <p>Simple things for simple minds, I guess. lol
