  Very user friendly product. Lots of cool options. In my opinion much better than Lucid charts or msft Visio. Support is amazing. I have emailed simple questions like how to change the default font, etc and support has always responded within 24hrs with an answer to my question

  Honestly, I have not found anything I dislike about this product

  In my opinion this product is superior to Lucid charts and msft visio. Just way more options, pics, etc. Can be used for so many various business diagrams....power points, network diagrams, website designs, and many I am overlooking. I highly suggest buying this product. Price is reasonable and support is fantastic.

• Hidden gem -- excellent diagramming tool

  Pros

  The program is deceptively low-key, and turns out to be extremely feature rich. When you first load the program, you'll see that the UI is familiar if you're used to using Office 365 under Windows 10. On startup, you're offered an opportunity to open an existing document or create a new one from numerous included templates. You're presented with 23 categories, such as Business diagram, Card, Chart, Database, Engineering, Floor Plan, Flowchart, Industrial Automation, Map, Mind Map, Network, Project Management, Science and much more. When you select a category, you're offered a list of templates. For example, on select "Flowchart" I am offered Basic Flowchart, BPMN, Cross Functional Process (horizontal and vertical), Data Flow Diagram, Event Flow diagram, IDEF Diagram, Highlight Flowchart, Workflow Diagram and SDL Diagram, along with several completed examples in each category that offer great ideas and excellent starting points for your own diagrams. Excellent value!

  Cons

  If you depend on Visio to validate IDEF rules, you won't have the same support for those in Edraw Max. I suspect this affects a very narrow subset of users. The User Interface should be familiar to Windows 10 / Office 365 users, but some of the layout and command sequence are a bit different; nothing impossible to figure out, but there will be a bit of a learning curve. There may be other cons, but I haven't worked with the product long enough to have noticed any yet.

  Summary

  Overall, this appears to be an incredible value. I'll be adding it to my professional "toolbox". In many instances and for many users, this should be an easy and very cost effective replacement for Visio. Definitely worth checking out the free trial to find out. In addition to being a very good value, the color sets, themes and styles, along with the wealth of template types and examples, all add another layer of value that goes beyond Visio in many instances.

• Finally a simple software solution for everyone!

  Pros

  I downloaded this program for map design. Why don't I use Google or Bing Maps you may wonder? Simply put, FREE isn't always better. I search the internet for high resolution mapping programs but was either disappointed by the quality or the price of the program. So I decided that I needed to reinvent the wheel. I cam across Edraw and was amazed at it's simplicity. I don't want to spend an evening reading a manual or looking at bias you tube videos. I just want a product that logically thinks like I do. This programs features are neatly organized on a ribbon toolbar and it's import or png, jpeg, and gif images are seamless. I also like the basic paint tools that accompany the suit. If I have to edit aobject of the canvas I simply press F3 or F6. I lierally can do anything in this program quickly and efficiently by two shortcuts. I load my libraries, save my templetes, and now all my mapping projects are at my fingertips. I would say more but im running out of characters. See my summary!

  Cons

  The only con was me as a user. I use to work in tech support and I know how these "con" portions sound. If you read the basic steps, watch the video tutorials, and utilize the FAQ (which I only had to refer to twice) you will be fine. In searching for this program, I found several others that were a pain to work and yet who knew a charting program could provide exactly what I needed. Perhaps in the future, this company can make an exclusive street map solution if the market is there. I was about to use a State Graphic Integrated System and then Import that into AutoCAD just to modify sections of directional maps. Thank you Edraw for saving me time and money!

  Summary

  Every program has an audience, and I know my words may not mean much to an executive who uses a program like Visio, ( which I thought was a company who made TV's) but the still just try this program. They give you 30 days to really hammer on it, and that is what I suggest. Free hand a chart or map, use the intergrated templats, and carefully review the beautiful vector imaging and see how simple but powerful this program is. Drag and drop graphical designs and turn your thoughts into a presentation that can truly be appreciated - Joey Dixon SC

  Reasonably simple and quite couourful.

  Cons

  Just as in Viso, EDraw will allow you to draw IDEF0 diagrams, but only as drawings. EDraw does not create an IDEF0 model so it is left the the user to enforce the rules and implement the hierarcy.

  Summary

  Not a useful tool for IDEF0 modeling.

  Edraw MAX is a diagram and presentation program designed for students and professionals alike. With it users can create any type of drawings such as flowcharts, network diagrams, presentations, building plans, fashion designs, workflows, program structures, UML, web design, electrical engineering, database diagrams, and more. It has a library of pre-made diagrams and over 4600 symbols, according to EdrawSoft. The user interface is really friendly, unlike Visio's or DIA's, and the shapes are fully customizable. Additionally, it integrates with other MS Office applications like Word or Excel.

  This software is much more friendly, has a lot of pre-designed templates

  Pros

  Fairly straight forward and intuitive on creation.

  Cons

  Annoying: When you are editing and have text written on a link there is sometimes an error where it will, for no apparent reason, show text from another link also. Only appears in the editor so you can save and close the file and then reopen it to make your link text appear normal. Useless: There are several problems with exporting. 1)Text has strange spacing issues, most noticeable with the lowercase w, that make words appear to have additional spaces in them. "Stairway" would look like "S ta ir w ay" for example. 2)If the program decides your export file will be too big it will shrink the image to what it considers useful WITHOUT NOTICE. If it reaches the end of it's ability to shrink then it will give a blank error message. I spent quite a bit of time thinking all the sizing options were useless because I kept ending up with the same image. If you are making something that is going to be larger than a few standard pieces of paper then the size you want becomes irrelevant.

  Summary

  If for some reason file size is relevant then it would have been nice to have the option to divide the image into several files. At least a pop-up saying something like "Your image is too large. We cannot cope with what you are dealing with. As such we are shrinking this to XX% of its original size." Such a message would have saved me many hours wasted trying to get this to fit my needs. With those cons it is actually easier and faster to use this program to generate some shapes for you and then use them in MS Paint to make your chart there. If these were problems in version 6.3 I would have to see what sort of issues were in earlier versions. Defiantly not worth the price that they are asking. But since they wasted my time I feel I need to lower some of their profit. If you intend to purchase this (I cannot imagine why you would as you will be spending more time fixing it's product then you did creating it.) then make sure you wait till the end of the trial period as the program will prompt a discounted price as you near the limit.

• Slow Visio replica

  The program looks and behaves like Visio. It has built-in support for tables & PDF export.

  Cons

  The program runs much slower than Visio 2007. I didn?t found a way to make a directed connection between two shapes ? not just a connection between two points from them. The program failed to open correctly not very complex Visio file (vdx).

  Summary

  The program runs slowly. In particular: Page scrolling is slow. Shape rotation, resizing and dragging are slow. Selecting objects is slow. Visio 2007 performs the above actions much faster. The program can export diagrams into PDF files, but the exported shapes are raster graphics. Because of this the diagrams may not look crisp when they are printed from an exported PDF file. I didn?t found a way to place an arrow in the middle of a connector (there is a ?mid-arrow? shape ? a line segment, whose end arrow points the middle, but it is not a connector). I didn?t found a way to re-layout shapes ? a Visio feature which can automatically rearrange complex diagrams and in some cases make them more visually comprehensible. I didn?t found a motivating reason to switch from Visio to Edraw Max, because the latter lacks originality and performs worse than Visio.

  I purchased your Edraw Max today, and I must say I am really pleased with it! Lots of diagrams, the diagrams look nice, and very easy to use! Definately worth the money!

  An excellent product at a fair price. I don't use a lot of charts, and could not justify the price for Visio (which I used in the past). E-Draw gives great results and has many new features.
