• Easy and powerfull ebook creation

  Ebook Maestro compiles XHTML/CSS files without problems. It is easy to use, very well written video tutorials. Good security options

  When using a left navigation panel, there is a thin line visible between the left and main panel.

  Summary

  Ebook Maestro is a great application to create ebooks. You can create your ebook in your favourite HTML / XHTML editor and Ebook Maestro will compile your ebook without problems. It is very stable, besides of the thin line bug, I could not find any other bugs. There are 4 interesting tutorials included, which gives you a very good headstart. Once you know the basics, you will find out that this ebook compiler can be tailored beyond compare. You can change or adapt the included templates to your own needs. Or can create your own. When you want to create exe ebooks, this nice program is definatelly for you.

  Pros

  From the program's web site, you can get a freeware version, a standard version at $12.95 and a pro version at $19.95. I don't know why download.com are showing the prices for the standard and pro versions at $35.95 and $69.95 respectively.

  Cons

  No cons really.

  Summary

  There's nothing fancy in the free version but it does what it's supposed to do.

  Pros

  This can do so much, and do it for free. The first review stated that what you make cannot be sold. This may be true, but I only want it for free things anyway! It's not for commercial use, and that is what I want it for!

  Cons

  Nothing!!!

  Summary

  This is great for making a Bible or other books and documents you want to offer for free! I think that is as fair as you can get! If I wanted to sell something, I believe I would use their standard or pro versions! That is as good as it gets!

  Pros

  Perhaps it's good. I stopped the installation when I saw the limitations in the EULA.

  Cons

  The EULA states that there can never be a charge for any ebook created with this software. I can't for the life of me figure out why a business would want to limit themselves this way or why a non-business entity would want to create an ebook. Perhaps for a family history? A family cookbook? Either way, when I saw the limitation in the EULA, I stopped the installation.
