This simple reminder program is one of the more polished offerings we've seen. Unlike many similar applications, E-Memo deviates from the standard clock design by offering two skins: a snazzy-looking diamond, and a stuffed bear, both of which can be tweaked with the built-in editor. The program can be minimized to the system tray directly from its main interface, but you must right-click it to adjust the settings. You can set one-time and period reminders, and E-Memo comes with a list of built-in holiday notifications that can easily be disabled. When the time comes for your reminder, your message will pop up, along with the aforementioned stuffed bear and the default alarm sound. E-Memo can use your own music files for notification, but we could never figure out how to get that feature to work properly. That complaint aside, we have no problem suggesting this program for anyone who's looking for a sophisticated reminder utility.
