  If you want to mount a iso image as a optical drive, it does that well Easily reads multiple formats

  Cons

  Does not play well with Vista If you do not like the program it does not clean up after itself well Can not edit currently exist images only those it creates iteself

  Summary

  Use only if you want to view or mount images as drives

  Pros

  I bought the Disc Image Std version few months a go. It does the job.

  Cons

  It didn't installed properly the first time (i had no icons anywhere! i had to create shortcut manually). <p> <p>The tray program doesn't give a list of mounted image, and doesnt allow to Unmount. So it's not that usefull. It only show "Favorites images" to mount them easily. <p> <p>Lately i bought this game (Hospital Tycoon) and wanted to use it with Disc Image because my laptop DVD spin like hell (extremly noisy). But its not working because Sony has implemented a copy protection in their software that detect that it's not running from the DVD and it doesn't work. I'm waiting for an answer from the tech support (they are usually fast to answer) about this concern.

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This app creates and mounts ISO images with ease. There is no hassle setting up drive letters, as the system mounts each ISO image as it's own drive. I use a laptop quite alot, and with Disc Image I do not have to carry around any physical cd's, it also saves battery power as the cd/dvd rom is not needed. It can also run multiple cd's simultaneously without previously assigning drives. Only ISO images can be mounted in this version, would be nice to also mount .bin images.

  Pros

  This program sits in your system tray ready and waiting for you to use as and when you need to create, edit or mount ISO images, or you mount images with a right-click on the ISO file. <p>I love the way it mounts images by creating a drive with the image and then removing the drive when you eject the image. It saves having to setup drives specially for mounting images virtually. <p>I have converted all my CDs and DVDs so that I can mount them virtually, I also like the fact I don't have to store them in a special location, I just add a link to the tray menu and off I go. <p>I did try the free version of Daemon tools, but I am not willing to put up with spyware just to save a few bucks.

  Cons

  Just a suggestion, I would like to be able to use compression similar to Linux (the company did say that it is going to be added soon).

  Pros

  I originally checked this app out due to problems with Daemon Tools. But I was glad I did. The command line options are just what I needed. An excellent and simple to use image creation system makes the whole thing a pleasure to use.

  Cons

  Just a suggestion, but I would like HFS support in the Image editor.

  Under limitations they say see description but then dont specify anything. Upon installing it I find the limitation is images no larger than 400MB and even then it will only allow you to mount it for 5 minutes. Waste of time.

  Pros

  This is exactly what I was looking for - a free utility that can make ISO images from CD and mount them. It does the job flawlessly (so far). I have converted many different kinds of CDs to an ISO image with it, and I love how easy it is to mount the image as a Windows partition and use it just like the real CD. Highly recommended.

  Cons

  The application window could have a couple of enhancements, but really the product works fine so this would just be nit-picking.

  Pros

  It works really easily with no fuss, you would think it was part of the system. <p>I like it so much I might buy the pro version. <p> <p>Obviously monolit has a brain problem. I had no problems installing it, no anti-virus warnings or malfunctions (and download.com would not allow products with viruses to be listed anyway).

  Cons

  Some command-line utilities would be useful.
