Wonderful, Free Utility, But I Made A Support Donation

- I love this little utility, and have used it for a couple of years now. SyncToy began to malfunction and it was undependable, so I looked for an alternative. DirSync Pro is a bit clunky and unintuitive at first, and it's not the prettiest interface, but it works perfectly. I absolutely love it and it's rock solid. It's also supported, has a very detailed user manual, and has obviously had a ton of thought put into it. I like it well enough that I've sent them a donation.
Small program but great possibilities!

- Different possibilities of making back-up. Very accurate. Once you have learned how to use the program it saves you a lot of time to "update" your files or directories. The progress-bar beneath the program gives you a view of the time the program will have to run till the end of synchronisation.
- Cons
- It takes a bit of time when making a first back-up of your files or directories. f.e. it takes more than 24 hrs for about 1 TB of musicfiles to be synchronised the first time.
- Summary
- Very good free program when you got much files to have a back-up. Secure and much possibilities. Also the message-tab is very easy to have a nice summary of all the work the program will do after the analysation of your files. Redundant files are deleted without problem, so you don't have to delete them manualy. Possibility to choose what you want to see in your synchronisation queue like new or modified directories or files, conflicts, dir. or files to be deleted,.........<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Jan 8, 2013<p/>Also the help file is very clear to understand. The many printscreens and examples gives you a nice view of all the possibilities of the program. So take your time to read it when you have a problem or question about the functions of the program.
