This won't do what you need it for for free!

Pros
If you feel like paying $20 for something you will only use once (only if you use pc games and an antivirus or improvement software deleted one of the base files for Directx/a base file was deleted or corrupted. There's no other than this program works.
Cons
It makes it seem like it's doing an impossible job when the function it's performing can be done by using the "Run" function of your main toolbar or command prompt. The "free" trial is literally just looking at what the program would do if you payed them, no functionality or use. If you're not using this to uninstall then reinstall DirectX to get a game browser (steam etc.) then there's no real reason to mess with it let alone remove it from your computer unless you know what you're doing and if you did you wouldn't be on cnet looking for an uninstaller.
Summary
Basically just another programing company dedicated to making money off people who don't know much about a DirectX and making false claims of a free trial. To be fair it does have the potential to do the job but only if you feed the program $20 just to make it functional. The main reason they do this is because the chances of having to uninstall and reinstall DirectX more than once is miniscule if not borderline impossible, so if a free trial was given out people would use it once it'd be difficult for them to profit which is fairly understandable since they went through the effort to make the program. But honestly (and all of this is in my opinion and information that I have personally discovered and researched)for something that could be done with free programs or even a friend with decent knowledge of video and audio drivers and plugins, it doesn't seem worth the effort especially since chances are you will only use this once or twice making your $20 seem rather badly spent. This review is important to consider since it appears that a majority literally say "I never tried it but I'll give it 5 stars" so I think it's fair that people considering buying/downloading this product know the facts before making a decision. There is no trial. If you don't buy it, it won't uninstall Directx. That's almost certainly what you wanted to do with it. Calling it shareware, or try-before-you-buy or anything else except paid commercial software is just dishonest.
Summary
If you don't buy it, it's a waste of time. No way to tell if it works or not until/unless you pay. CNet should pull it from download.com because it's commercial software.

It had good poteitial from its own ads, i never gave it much of a chance. it had a nice logo and icon

they wanted $20 for it I dont need sometihng like this , let alone have to pay that much for it.
Summary
It cost and it isnt necessary for me to manage what they claimed i must do . i can handle direct x very easily , the program made it seem as if it was going to perform all kinds of secret hard work and only charge me twenty bucks. i do what i need and it isnt very complicated . i dont need it, not yet.

Direct X is a necessary driver used for playing games. So if you uninstall Direct X you would have to reinstall Direct X to play games. Direct X can be downloaded from microsoft.com .

If you uninstall direct x from your computer you will not be able to play a lot of games. So you would have to reinstall direct x so I see no reason to uninstall direct x.

I gave a 4-star because maybe to some people this has a use. But I do not understand.
Cons
Games basically will not work after. Slows start-up time. What is the purpose? Direct-x is a good thing.
