As its name suggests, this no-frills clock utility simply counts down time, but don't expect to find extensive features. It's fairly easy to add and edit multiple events with Countdown Clock's overly simple, diminutive interface. When you've input the event description and its exact time, the timer displays the years, days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the event occurs. Unfortunately, this 30-day trial version is sorely lacking an alarm feature, which would certainly bring purpose to this clock utility. Instead, you're treated to a "This Event Has Occurred" message. During our testing, we sent the program to the system tray after setting up an event. Oddly, it did not notify us when the event transpired. Countdown Clock is easy enough for anyone to use, but there are other options on the market with more abundant and flexible features.

This is great. The programmers obviously didn't know what they were doing so there is an easy way to avoid payment. In the files downloaded, there is an access database. Change the example from 1/1/2100 12:00:00 AM to whatever date you want. You can change the name "example" too and even add other dates in other database cells. It is a dream.

I've been looking for a program like this for a long time. It stands out of the number of other countdown timers by these important features: 1. You can set unlimited number of events to count time to (other programs count time to 1, 5 or other limited number of events). 2. You can count time to events as remote as 99 years from now (others limit time to event to 10 hours, 100 hours or so.) It's an excellent motivator - reminder of upcoming events in my life. And I had no problems whatsoever running it on my WinXP Pro.

Watch out for this program! Its primary weakness is that if you've already entered the code given to you by the software owners, and you have to reinstall Windows, once you restart the program, it asks you for the code, but it won't accept your original code. You have to email the authors for a new code. That was two dollars down the toilet. :(
