Deleted files often leave traces behind. DriveEraser permanently erases data from hard drives and removable disks. Click a drive, and its the Windows Explorer-like interface displays the relevant files and folders. DriveEraser permanently deletes cookies, your Favorites list, and Internet temporary files. You can also do away with tracks left in your temporary files, search history, and Recent Files list. DriveEraser uses several U.S. Department of Defense-approved methods to wipe out the contents of selected folders and the Recycle Bin. It gives three warnings before it starts erasing, thereby diminishing the chances of an accidental deletion. Although fine for home use, this powerful utility is best suited to businesses needing to obliterate large amounts of confidential information.
