The fake coin might be heavier or lighter than the real coins. In addition to finding out the fake coin, the player must also find out whether the coin is heavier or lighter than the real ones. The number of times the scale can be used depends on the number of coins in the pile, and the player must plan the moves carefully otherwise failure is inevitable.
