Needs some fixes
missapple27- Pros
- It is a simple way to write daily thoughts and events and the information can be exported in a few ways.
- Cons
- It crashes often--if I do a search and then try to do something else besides go back to Today's entry. It is hard to go to a specific date unless it is within a couple of months.
- Summary
- It isn't bad for free. I just wish it would get updated and fixed.
A bare-bones journal
NicholasWDCleveland- Pros
- Password protection (though this also goes in cons as I will add) simple, user friendly layout, interesting layout and the ability to add images to entries.
- Cons
- a bit girly in design, password protection is cantankerous, hard to get "how to" instructions and walkthroughs.
- Summary
- a bare bones journal. It is a bit girly perhaps and more specialized tasks are difficult to explore but available.
Awesome basic, no frills diary!
julieloreen- Pros
- I love this diary. It's simple and to the point. Sometimes less is more when you just want to jot down your thoughts. You can add images/clipart if you want. I like the passcode on it, too, as well as the little calendar to the side.
- Cons
- Because of the "girly" look, this diary may not appeal to the guys.
- Summary
- A great download! The application is easy to use and very functional as a basic diary. I enjoy the extras thrown in, such as a passcode to protect my private thoughts from curious people. The only thing I can think of to make it more appealing to guys as well as girls is to give the user choices on the appearance of their diary.
Great Program!!!
Gimnazia95- Pros
- I think I downloaded this directly from the Apple website, but not sure... But this is an awesome program!! It really serves its purpose and is a great diary.. especially for those who don't like wasting paper/ink with the traditional diaries...!
- Cons
- The only con is that you can't really draw any pictures like you can with a normal diary.. I am yet to find out if you can put your own clipart/images.. I just stick to the writing. ^^ Maybe the other con is that it seems kinda girly.. not for guys?
- Summary
- Great product for girls, even women to organize their days and jot down their "happenings"..........really recommend this download! ^^
Incredibly Annoying Non-Standard Behavior
lar2ry- Pros
- Cons
- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Beware! You better know how to edit a crontab file. Clover Diary starts itself and restarts itself whether you like it or not. Clover Diary places an entry in /var/cron/tabs/username the first time it runs. The cron entry then restarts Clover Diary at regular intervals. If you remove the cron entry (use "crontab -e"), it gets replaced the next time you start Clover Diary. The standard OS X controls for startup items (right click on Clover Diary in the menu bar, and check or uncheck "Open at Login," or set login items in System Preferences - Accounts) are completely ignored. Incredibly annoying.
Does not work in Mac OS Tiger 10.5.1
richtig- Pros
- Cons
- Summary
- This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
In Mac OS Tiger 10.5.1, essentially nothing happens when clicking the app icon. Seems there is not much English localization.
