This program's interface is far from refined, but if you're ready to stage a coup against Microsoft Outlook, you might want to give Chronilist a look. This networkable scheduling tool is all business, with a set of rudimentary tools for entering events, projects, and contacts. All the basics are covered: Events can be set as recurring, contacts can be tied to projects, and reports can be generated based on task or date.

The aesthetically inclined might have a hard time with the software's homemade-looking interface, and limited exporting tools make it hard to share data with those not using the software. But if your scheduling needs are straightlaced and you're tired of dodging animated paper clips, Chronilist will get the job done.
