  Pros

  I was a beta tester for Windows Server 2000 and 2003 a while back and worked for Microsoft for a bit, I reported countless bugs and errors in software only to find the same problems in future versions. With CDtag I've run into a few minor glitches, nothing that would make me consider switching to another tagger, just slight annoyances. Let me just say that I'm amazed by the work Jud puts into this program, not only has he been extremely fast at correcting problems, but has also been very receptive to feature requests and general support questions.

  My RAM and CPU just don't get much of a workout with CDtag, they are starting to get fat!

  Pros

  Probably the best tool for ripping/encoding/tagging your music. Supports lots of formats (even lossless formats). <p>The software is updated A LOT and the forum is actively followed by the creator who pays attention to all the propositions to make his program a better one.

  Pros

  I used this to tag my entire MP3 collection. It worked great! I was amazed as I had used huge catalog software like iTunes, MusicMatch Jukebox, Helium2, etc., and all of them were either too bulky or didn't do what I wanted. This doesn't have a catalog but its a CD ripper and an MP3 tagger. What more do you need?

  I think this product is wonderful for my CD collection. I especially like the easy configuration and quick setup for all your tagging needs. It's an easy two to three clicks and you are finished. Plus if like to do advanced configuration it's just as easy. <p> <p>I also think the staff is very friendly and will help you with any issues. They are always coming up with quick updates. I can see there are going to be some more fantastic additions to this product. Thank you!

  Pros

  Now all the features I need are compiled into one great tool. <p>This includes Exact Audio Copy for ripping cd's, LAME Encoder for encoding them, then the core tagging system to neatly label and organize my collection. As the collection grows I can easily organize it by year, genre, artist and more.

  I have used this program for sometime now. And I must say it is the easiest to use and the best period. And now with his newest versions I can rip, encode and CDs tag properly all from one program. Not much more I can ask for. <p> <p>You can retag albums ripped in cue files, get album info off CDDA sites. You can check an albums checksum by sfv. Everything you will need to keep your music collection neat and proper. <p> <p>This is the only way to go.

  ive been using cd tag for a couple of years now starting with version 1.x which only allowed you to tag and thats it, now we have version 2.2 which is completely amazing. its pretty much an all in one tool that you need to get your cds into your pc. it rips, encodes, tag, with just a couple of clicks. the ripping part is very accurate based on EAC which allows you to use burst mode for speed and secure mode for people looking quality. the encoder allows you to encode into all the popular formats nowadays, of course mp3 using stable lame version. once you have all the songs ready just proceed to tag them in a few seconds, it will automatically get the tracklist from CDDB and save you time. I can recommend this to any person that likes to have all their albums on their pc to listen while working, this tool will have it ready in just a few moments.

  until now i havent seen cons, the program is well supported by its developer and you will get a quick response on the forums if a bug is detected or you need some help. the program can still be improved and im sure that a lot of new features will be added on future builds.
