If you run os win 2000 do not install this. It makes the cd rom dissapear. The only thing to do if it happends is to uninstall it, It could be great if you use a different OS..........

Its a good CD player and easy to download but there are some errors that pop up and it is a bit hard to understand some of the functions, apart from tht 8/10!

CD Maximus is just OK. But there's anotehr program included here called SmallCD. This is excellent, exists solely as a system tray icon, all of the standard functions are available from a right click menu. It doesn't have a graphic equalizer, but that's actually an advantage here: while other programs convert the audio to a streaming waveform on the fly, using a substantial amount of processor and IDE controller time, this allows direct play from the drive to sound card, requiring no cpu time or IDE usage *whatsoever*. Another added "bonus" is that this will allow the computer to play those new "copy protected" cd's.

sometimes theres some slowness when it first starts up, while it's trying to retireve that track listing, and there's something funky happening when you list track 1, but otherwise great. well worth the quirks.

If your looking for a cd player thet wont use all ya ram then this is the one it works well and can be switched of in your start menu [msconfig] full fun ,full ram n full marks if ya just wanna listen to that cd without ALL that ram hungry junkbox carry on . does my bum look big in this ?
