• Recording only one way?

  I have had this problem and found in the folder where the files are stored 3 diffente files: - me - participants - both parts It is very difficult to find a Skype recorder that works, even those who are proposed on Skype's site

  Whatever is free you need to give your e-mail (but not so terrible...)

  It does start automatically. But that is the only reliable thing about this.

  I just spent an hour interviewing an important speaker. Callnote only recorded me. So now I have an hour long interview of just me asking questions and silent answers. Avoid this software. It is unreliable, buggy and has no features. There is nothing good about this software. I have only gotten it to work 50% of the time. Problem is you don't know it isn't working until it is too late. Ruined an interview with an important person. And has negatively effected my business. This software will hurt your business. Don't use it.

  There are no pros here.

  Cons

  CallNote used to be a free and simple method of recording a Skype conversation, now it is something akin to a spambot. A whole two hour conversation was lost because I tried to use this program and it only recorded my voice.

  I would like to nuke the offices of whoever programmed this.

  Like Alexander's issue, I only ended up getting a recording of my own voice, despite Callnote indicating that it was connected and recording the Skype call. I even checked back in settings with both Skype and Callnote and they were set precisely according to the specifications of the user guide on the Callnote website. It also did not work when trying to send the saved MP3 soundbite to dropbox, though it did send to Evernote, however again, it was a one-sided recording. I definitely would not recommend this software.

  I experienced no pros with this software.

  Cons

  Had an important interview that needed to be transcribed afterwards, but only recorded my voice for 20 minutes.

  Summary

  Don't bother downloading this programme. Any other will do better.

  May be a good program, I haven't tried using it.

  Cons

  - "CallNote Premium is a Free recording application" - this is a lie. This is a 14-day trial version, not a Free app. - Can't be used even in trial period without a basic registration (Name, Email)

  Pros

  - Easy to use; - can record just parts of the call or entire conversation; - can record all participants in the call; - Dropbox and Evernote sharing is particularly useful (at least for me);

  Cons

  - limited editing capabilities ( can't slice the videos within a program);

  Summary

  Overall, I like the product. It's free and it serves my needs well. I would like it to have some additional features like editing of the video and audio stream and adding comments, but in general it's a great software.
