Easy to use Web Gateway

Pros
1) Possibility to activate all features at the same time. 2) Full feature proxy and reverse proxy + WAF + antivirus + URL blacklists + web cache. 3) Possibility to import your own URL blacklists. 4) Chrome, FireFox, Safari, IE and Opera are supported by the GUI. 5) HA features to avoid having a SPOF. 6) Free for 5 users (not only to try). 7) Anti phishing & Safe browsing based on enhanced virus signatures DB. 8) Transparent implementation for the web traffic. 9) Excellent support quality. 10) Attractive prices. 11) SSL mediation transparent capabilities to cache YouTube.
Cons
1) The email scanning can't be implemented transparently and works in a client server mode. 2) Does not include the possibility to create VPNs 3) The firewalling is basic. We use pfSense (based on FreeBSD) as a first firewall layer and CacheGuard (based on Linux) as a second firewall layer + web content filter. 4) To me the SSL mediation is a MITM attack. We activated it to cache YouTube only.
Summary
At the time of writing the latest version is EH-1.3.5 to download directly from the publisher website (https://www.cacheguard.com/). The 64 bits version can also be downloaded from SourceForge. It's not a software to run on PC but a software appliance: having a virtual or a bare metal machine is mandatory. We use VMware ESX.

Pros
- Reverse + Forward proxy in the same box - Nice Web GUI + CLI (rare nowadays) - So easy to install in configure - Focused on Web traffci (all you need) - High Availability with VRRP, channel bonding and RAID
Cons
- Missing some basic security features (like VPN) - Not free for more than 100 users - Support only ClamAV and not other products - Basic firewalling
Summary
This is not a software as registered here but an Appliance presented as an OS to install on a machine. It is not a windows software but based on Linux. The screen shot here is outdated! The new version is NG-1.0.11
