Manage e-mail for your small business through your ISP with remote administration.

This e-mail server works well for small businesses and families. It includes a comprehensive help system and tutorials, and supports SMTP and POP3 mail. You can send and receive mail through multiple Internet service providers (and multiple accounts within each ISP). BMG can strip unwanted e-mail attachments and will use the AVG virus scanner if installed.

Administrators can control and manage this mail server from any PC on the office/home LAN. You can even test your system before you go live with the included Internet simulator.

If you have a low-cost domain with all its e-mail going to a single mailbox, then BMG can collect that e-mail and will recreate the real recipients of the e-mail without you having to pay for expensive forwarding options.

It really sucked for me

None that I can see.

Double clicked the program. It openned up a DOS box and crashed my sytem. Now I can't see the tile bar on the task manager and I have rebooted a few times. I tried it on another computer and the same happned. Had to format both.

This software is, at best, a hight school computer science project. there is no way 95% of the people that download this could ever install it and operate it.

Summary
Due to the nature of the beast, an Email gateway can never be simple (or idiot proof) to set up. This one is as simple as it can get. It is a very powerful product and is doing everything I ask of it - what more can I say? I did try other Mail Gateways but found they did not work or were too difficult to configure.

You will need a year off to plough through the manual. It looks as if you will need a degree to operate this rubbish. Our TECHS took one look at it & said GOODBYE.

The only mail gateway program that has been designed to work the way a small business works. The ability to manage a mail system that consists of 3 people sitting at their home computers is awesome. Works in such a way that there is no single point of failure. Microsoft SBS can't even do that!!!!
