• Easiest pdf viewer out there

  Pros

  -Document zoom (hold right click, move mouse up/down) and panning -Flipping forward/backwards through multiple pdfs in a folder (space bar / backspace key) -Printing just a section of a pdf

  Cons

  Gets slow with larger pdfs.. I have to switch over to Adobe at that point.

  Summary

  By far my favorite pdf viewer. I use it for 95% of all viewing, except for large files.

  Pros

  Reads and displays tiffs.

  Cons

  Previous versions were great! The newest version is slow and clumsy and a real pain to work with. The sliding zoom button is terrible. Someone did not do their homework when they "upgraded" the software.

  Summary

  Try to find a quicker and more user friendly viewer. I am currently looking.

  Pros

  speed of viewing tif and pdf

  all the features that made it great have been mutilated into convoluted mouse clicks like scroll wheel zooming requires you to click the arrow button first, then the image, then you can scroll zoom. Pretty stupid.

  Summary

  Old version was a top class product but you cannot use it because you are forced to use the latest version only via some kind of online license check each time you start the app. All of the functions that were of tremendous efficiency have been replaced with convoluted key combinations and mutilated mouse movements. For instance, viewing many tif files in a folder used to be speedy by simply pressing the space bar to view the next file. Now its Ctrl+Shft+N !!! You can't even use one hand to do that ! They threw 10 years of brilliant interface efficiency out the window. And no, its not a learning curve thing. It will really slow you down. It is sooooo bad, that I have switched to using the Microsoft Windows Picture and Fax Viewer!!!! I'm not kidding! The MS Viewer is MORE EFFICIENT than the new Brava Reader! Unbelievable!

• Forced December 2010 update removed the best features

  Pros

  Lightning-fast opening of tiff files. Quick and easy rotation with shift+space. Scroll button zoom. Space and backspace moved to next and previous file name. Excellent for navigating folders with several tiff files.

  Cons

  All the above features were removed in forced December 2010 update.

  Summary

  No point in using this software anymore. Nothing unique left, unless you use the csf file format.

  Pros

  Does not take up much drive space, opens and allows printing of PDFs CONSISTENTLY -- not something I've experienced with other Adobe Alternatives.

  Cons

  Have not run into any!
