Editors’ Review
We had high hopes for AZ JPEG to PDF Converter. We liked the interface and felt that the program definitely had an edge over some similar programs we've seen. Unfortunately, the converter's error messages and crashes undermine what could otherwise be a very good program.
The application's interface is well designed and intuitive, with large graphical buttons that represent its major features. We liked that the program made it easy to select both individual images and entire directories for conversion, and we thought that the drag-and-drop feature was an especially nice touch. Unfortunately, as we were selecting our images, an error message with a long string of numbers in it appeared. We clicked Okay and hoped that would be the end of it. We moved along with our image selection and had the program convert our images to PDFs, but just as the conversion finished the error message reappeared and the program crashed. Drat! The program reopened without problems, but as much as we'd like to pretend that it hadn't crashed, it had. This was especially disappointing since the program has some cool features, such as the capability to create a PDF slideshow.
AZ JPEG to PDF Converter is free to try, but the trial version puts a watermark on the output. The program installs desktop icons without asking and leaves a folder behind upon removal. We recommend this program with reservations; it has a lot of potential, but the error messages and crashing make us wary of its stability.
