• A Timesaving Unique Feature --- Real-Time Preview

  Pros

  The real-time preview feature is really a timesaver while processing the vector conversion. You don't have to wait until the whole process complete to change the settings to get the better tracing results. Plus the program is so powerful and only cost $60. I recommend downloading the latest version from the MagicTracer website.

• Great Raster to Vector conversion with more than expected flexibility

  Interface is intuitive and easy to play with. Good undo fuctionality makes a "try-it-and-see-what-happens" approach work while learning the ins/outs of translation. Love the realtime preview option and all of the raster AND vector editing features. I was able to convert an awful multi-color, noisy raster image with multiple profiles into a fairly clean DXF file for use in our CAD system. It took some tweaking of the image in raster to maximize the cleanliness and quality of the final DXF file - but I had a usable output in a few tries/minutes. Further familiarity on my part would most likely improve the results of the curve interpolation and line corrections. Since I didn't bother with the manual or help, I suspect I may not have had the optimal settings...But I do think that for what it does, the price is most definitely reasonable and certainly feel the publisher was very fair in allowing 20 fully feature-enabled uses of the trial. Now I just need to convince the boss to pay for it...

• An Excellent Auto-Tracing Tool for Graphics Designers

  1. Produce good results in just a few easy steps. <p> <p>2. Overlap display mode is great for correcting the tracing results. <p> <p>3. Project file keeps the settings; great for future modification. <p> <p>4. Being able to convert the vector lines to hatch fill is a very useful command for me to bring the DXF output over to Illustrator. <p> <p>5. Image editing tools are useful not just for vector conversion purpose.

  I HAVE BEEN USING THIS PROGRAM FOR A LITTLE OVER TWO WEEKS. IT IS SO USEFUL FOR MY WORK AND I THINK I WILL KEEP USING IT UNTIL 35 USES RUNS OUT. THEN I WILL BUY A NON-RESTRICTED COPY.   This program is very feature-rich and professional. The tutorials in the documentation got me started in no time. The price is also very cheap! MagicTracer is a rare find.
