This countdown utility can automate your computer's shutdown and launch other tasks, though it has its share of deficiencies. AutoExit's itty-bitty interface displays the current time until you give it a task to perform and set the countdown timer. Through menu selections, it's easy to set the program to shut down your PC and run an executable program, file, or audio file. However, actually adjusting the timer to perform the task at a specific time is tricky and the help file doesn't clear things up. On its command menu you have to select the peculiarly named option, switch the display to set the timer, and hit the space bar to toggle through setting the hours, minutes, and seconds for countdown. Though it works fine, this program can't be configured to automate multiple or recurring tasks like comparable applications. In spite of its shortages, AutoExit is free and suitable to users for single task automation.

Shutdown your computer at a preset time.
AutoExit is a programmable countdown software, it's function is originally to shutdown the computer after a while, but it can do other things too, like to run a script or another program, play a sound or what you want. The program is designed for a really fast time programming, keyboard friendly. Programmed in C, very light, no install required. Just download it and use it. Nothing is written in the Registry, as long you don't ask AutoExit to save its configuration.
