Acquire password management solution for corporate and individual users.
Aurora Password Manager is a full-featured solution for storing Web site and e-mail access passwords, credit card numbers, and other sensitive data. Multi-user and privilege management support makes it an ideal solution for both corporate and individual users. A built-in advanced password generator helps you to create 100% secure passwords, and the Internet Explorer toolbar plug-in provides automatic Web-form filling functionality.
I have used this application for several years when it was known as AES Password Manager. The product has a very user friendly interface and easy to configure and integrates well with Internet Explorer. There is a plug-in for Fire Fox however I have not tried that configuration. The application can be installed and ready to use in less than ten minutes. What I felt to be a good feature is the ability to select the location and number of database backup files. The backup database files are named in a sequential order. Access to the credential database file can be password secured.
Cons
I have never had reason to contact their technical support until recently. The current and previous versions have worked well with Windows XP, Vista in a local and domain session. I recently install the password manager on a Windows 7 workstation and the app was working properly until I joined the workstation to my domain. Upon selecting a website from the IE tool bar the app reported "File Read-Only" however during a local login session the password manager functions correctly. I have submitted two support requests over a seventy-two hour period that have not been responded to in any form or fashion, not even an automated response acknowledging that my request has been received. I realize that it is near the Holiday and staffing may be minimal, however some type of acknowledgement is appropriate. I will wait for a few days after which I will research a replacement application. If they cannot support the product do not sell the product........!!!!!

Pros
Works great when it works
Cons
Their database broke on us and they haven't fixed it (it's been a month, and we had 100+ users using it at the company)
They haven't restored the dB with a backup
They haven't responded to any of our inquiries
Summary
DO NOT USE Aurora Password Manager. A password protected Excel spreadsheet would be better.
