The new Ashampoo Burning Studio 25 is a powerful disc burning software that burns data, movies and music to CD, DVD and Blu-ray discs. In addition, the program boasts extensive multimedia features that allow for sophisticated projects and ample creative freedom. You can produce and edit movies and slideshows or create video discs. Custom animated menus, opening and closing credits as well as customizable auto-play settings offer loads of exciting possibilities. Resulting files and discs are playable on almost any device thanks to built-in support for popular formats like MPEG-4, H.264, AAC, MP3 and WMA. Elegant themes and artwork for disc menus is also included. The integrated cover editor makes it particularly easy to create custom covers, booklets and inlays or disc labels. Thanks to disc spanning, data can be spread across multiple discs automatically and scratch protection ensures readability even for damaged discs. The backup section features smart planning options to back up data from cellphones and tablets to any medium. Not VERY expensive; Technical support not bad.
Cons
>Troublesome to get going--frequent "License cannot be activated..." messages; >"Hog-ties" system resources--make sure you DON'T have anything else to do when (if you actually get around to) burning discs; >IF you are able to get to burn BLU-RAY discs, don't expect to be done in anything LESS than 12 hours;
Summary
If you are VERY patient, and don't mind going back and forth with technical support (just about every time you want to burn a disc)--this MAY be the right program for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere!!!!!

Simple, intuitive navigation. Ideal burner for audio cds but for one thing ...
Cons
ABS inserts brief snippets of "static" about midway on *every* audio cd (haven't tested it on anything else). Doesn't matter what track, playlist, cd media type or even computer (verified on notebook and desktop). Static completely absent on audio cds created w/other burners, ex. Nero, CDBurnerXP etc., using exact same songs/playlists.
Summary
Loved this product as an ABS newbie. Just disappointed ABS chose this "method" to protect itself against copyright, DRM issues. Caveat emptor.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Apr 10, 2015<p/>Please delete this review. Review intended for ABS Free version.

Pros
Does an acceptable job of burning CDs, but the quality is not that great. Not as easy to use as my old Roxio burner. Also, you will be absolutely swamped with Ashampoo ads in your email and on screen when you burn CD's. I'm looking for something else.

Lots of advertising, not so easy to use.

I don't use many of the tools But what I do use has never given me the smallest problem and I have had all versions since 5 I think. I remember CD burners costing &#163;200 pounds and you got more failures than successes.
Cons
Compact mode is a nuisance and won't go back to full mode. Avoid. Otherwise none.
Summary
Better than Nero and cheaper. Well worth the money.

Flawless in almost every way. The interface is clean and easy to understand. The burning part works beautifully and the basic DVD creation is really handy!

Doesn't convert nearly as many formats as I would like it to!
