  It crashed as I tried to enter my registration info.... then it scrambled my iPod. 5,000+ songs, gone. I hate these bums.

  Pros

  Completely restores iTunes library on secondary authorized computer. Makes a mirror copy of songs, lyrics, artwork and ratings from iPod.

  Cons

  A large music library takes a while to build. Make sure you have enough memory or drive space for this new library!

  Summary

  Bottom Line: IT DOES WHAT IT SHOULD DO with a minimum of fuss. In auto mode, it is hands-free operation. (Did not use MANUAL mode yet.)

  I have a 40G iPod. iPodRip asked me to connect it to my computer, it showed a "Loading iPod Data" and wouldn't stop for hours. When I disconnected the iPod, the titles are there but it won't play any song. I'm completly upset because my computer had crashed and I was trying to recover my songs.

  First it wouldn't find my iPod. Then when it did, it returned an error message and did nothing. Something about a String length of zero. I submitted the error message to tech support and received no response.

  I run Windows XP on my laptop. Upon installing, the software asks you to install .net Framework on your computer, if you do not have it already (which I did not). Grudgingly I downloaded .net Framework from the Windows website. <p>When running the installation software again, it told me I had the wrong version. I needed version 1.1.4322. Available from Windows is version 2 and 1.1 only. Bad, bad software.
