This program has neither Hollywood glamour nor flash. With an awkward appearance and a lack of features, Artisan DVD/DivX Player takes all the magic out of movies and simply does its job passably.

While the program functions as a basic DVD player and can navigate chapters on a disc and manage subtitles and languages, it can't do much more. For example, the demo version can't bookmark video, and when we tried capturing a picture from video, we got an error message. Among other flaws, the clunky interface looks decidedly amateurish; the program doesn't include a help file, and the installer added a desktop shortcut to an unrelated Web site without asking permission.

Overall, if you're looking for a DVD player and you're short on cash, Artisan DVD/DivX Player may do the job. Even then, however, you might want to investigate other freeware options.

I want to play a dvd that in my dvd drive and it dose not do that. I don't want to pay for a player.

It will play a dvd but thats about it.

The url it trys to add is to a nasty web site but spyware terminator stopped that one!! It has no rewind at all and some of the buttons don't work at all.

Not great and have seen better. Too much clutter added and it trys to get you to install a toolbar and change your search engine. It should just play dvds and cut out all this undercover crap. The url it trys to add when you install the program is to a very dangerous web site but spyware terminator stopped that from happening and killed the url. A dvd player should just do that without all this added clutter. 1 out of 10 is the best i would give it!! The program keeps asking you to change your directx to version 9 which is out of date and so to is this player!

It actually works. That's more then can be said for the others I've tried today.

The volume was terrible. I turned it all the way up on both my computer and the player, and it was still rather quiet.

Has all the functions a music player should have: play list, play control, nice skin layout . It also support video and DVD! Cool.... I can bookmark file I played, and also capture image from video file

None really. Plays files from start to finish, can't even stop or pause them. You can stop by closing the program though.

was OK to download, but it wants you to install a toolbar and dealio ANNOYWARE. tried using program, unless you have the PRO version, you cannot even pause the program. it stinks, do not install program.
