  If you need an Alarm Clock application, it does the job. Some of the features are carefully hidden, so you should do the unthinkable, read the directions.

  It looks nice and clean, and the features included would be great. If only you could get to them.

  This program takes over your CPU until spindump comes in to try and salvage things, then it shuts down with an error message.

  Summary

  I've gotten this program to run once on Leopard, and that was a year ago. None of the software updates or OS updates have made any difference, and there is no support from Apimac. The one time I was able to use it, it was great, but I never got the application to load again.

  A clean interface, easy to understand and operate, works like a charm...when it does work

  Can't start a new timer! After updating to version 7, I instead get an "Error of Type 0 occurred" and it persists even after restarting the app.

  Summary

  Until this error message is explained (why are error messages always so vague and unhelpful?), this app is useless! Stick with a previous working version if you've got one!

  The vocal alert to time on the hour has been very helpful - I have been working on a project and not paying attention to the time, and it jolted me so an appointment was not missed!

  This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This little app is very useful for timing things - like coffee brewing, time reminders, warnings, etc. One small problem is it will not quit running under Snow Leopard and must be forced. I am not complaining because it is a free app, but do hope the developer will fix this little issue. I like the fact you can get it to play any sound file, including your own recordings to suit your own particular situations. It's fun to watch someone's face when the app causes your computer to announce something like: "OK Layabout. It's time to get off your lazy butt and get to work!"
