• installs fine under Linux/Wine, but won't find Cue file

  Installed fine under Ubuntu Linux / Wine

  Cons

  Didn't work for me. I selected the .ape file, it accepted it; I selected the .cue file, it found it but didn't fill in the appropriate field in the dialog box, nor did it let me proceed.

  Well, Here It Is...I Like This software A Lot. Its Worth buying. I am Going To buy it real Soon because I like it A lot. The three times the trial mode allowes does the job real well...it extracts and names the songs for you.

  Friend sent me a APE music file. Wanted to convert to MP3. Simple, straight-forward, i think. APE Convert would NOT let me convert file without a cue-sheets file ??? I can get the file to play just fine in WMP and dont have a problem anywhere else. But, APE convert INSISTS on having a cue-sheets file, and will not do anything without it. <p>Also, whats with the UGLY green/white slant window dressing. Programmer spent WAY to much time making stupid colors and windows buttons and not enough time making a functional program that worked.

  It works and is intuitive

  I don't see the point. There are lots of audio formats that work fine and are free, so why come up with one you have to buy? <p> <p>I'm not sure what it is doing but it doesn't like files being moved or renamed (genres etc), won't let me have long sub directory lists etc, all of which are crucial to accurate file management. <p> <p>I think it smells of a Microsoft worker - does what it's supposed to but ... <p> <p>regards
