Amphetamine is a little app that lives in your menu bar. With Amphetamine, you can easily and quickly override your energy saver settings and keep your Mac awake, without even lifting your fingers from the keyboard. Please note that after you launch Amphetamine, you must activate it by clicking on its menu icon to keep your Mac awake or edit application preferences. If you do not activate Amphetamine, your Mac will sleep normally, as per your energy saver settings. You can define a hotkey in Amphetamine's preferences which will allow you to use a system-wide keyboard shortcut to activate and deactivate Amphetamine without needing to click on the menu icon There is no need to keep Amphetamine in your Dock. Amphetamine runs entirely from your system menu bar, which spans the top of your screen.
