Alpify is an emergency app that can save your life or that of your loved ones. Thanks to its precise geolocalization technologies, it helps emergency services perform rescues in a quicker and more effective way, regardless of the nature of the crisis. Alpify can be used for urgent matters derived from extreme sports, and also those from everyday situations. The application has 2 main functionalities: (1) In case of emergency situations it connects the victim with 112 services, simply by pressing the red button. The app sends your GPS location along with other vital parameters used to expedite your rescue; (2) It also allows you to invite friends and family and thus activate its feature in which you can share positions and routes amongst yourselves. In addition to this, the app can be accessed remotely in case the person goes missing; just as long as long as their tracker is on. To day, Alpify not only operates all through Spain and Andorra, but also in the Waraira Repano national park in Caracas, Venezuela; as well as in renowned ski resorts worldwide: Grandvalira (Andorra), Vallnord (Andorra), Saint Lary (France), Font Romeu (France) and Las Leas (Argentina).IMPORTANT INFORMATION- Your route will be saved in order to ease your search, in case an emergency situation were to present itself. This enables the 112 services in your area to know your location and path taken, in a passive way. This information will only be used when you send out an emergency alert or someone reports you missing.- Keep the tracking button ON to share your locationRemember that, in order for the rescue team in your area to find you easily, in an emergency situation, you must keep the tracker ON.- If theres no internet coverage in the area, you can still use SMS.Whenever theres no Internet coverage available, the emergency alert will be sent through an SMS. This text message will appear in Alpifys system and will be managed by the 112 emergency services.- Battery life.We are constantly working on improvements so that the apps use of battery isnt an issue. When keeping the tracker on all day, Alpify only uses between 7 to 10% of your smartphones battery (depending on the model). Keep in mind that continued usage of GPS features in the background can significantly diminish battery life.
